Viva la mamma at Den Norske Opera & Ballett

Viva la mamma is a wild farce about an opera company trying to stage a new production – the extremely serious and earnest Romulus and Ersilia. Rehearsals are underway, but the diva-like, temperamental Prima Donna and her fussy singer husband are making life difficult for their colleagues. Complications such as Prima Donna's rival and an aggressive mother who tries to replace an incompetent tenor result in complete confusion for all concerned.

This is a chamber version of Viva la mamma with a small orchestra on the stage, designed for touring.
