The Soloists' Christmas Concert at Den Norske Opera & Ballett

In a lavishly decorated Opera House the soloists, chorus singers and musicians welcome you to our Christmas concerts being held for the third year in a row. The programme includes our own Christmas songs mixed with well-known and lesser known Christmas music from near and far, from different eras and with variations in style and tone. Here, the folk singing of Norwegian musician Alf Prøysen goes hand in hand with Jussi Bjørling and Bing Crosby! With humour, nostalgia and beauty, the Opera House soloists tug at our heartstrings and show the breadth and variety the singers muster as they conjure up a Christmas atmosphere with a combination of tonal timbre, direction, choreography and lighting design.
