Saturday concert: Mozart with Steffens at Den Norske Opera & Ballett

To coincide with the performance of Mozart’s opera Cosìì fan tutte in the Main House, musicians from the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra will offer an afternoon filled with the composer’s music in the Second House.

We are especially proud to present our new Musical Director, Karl-Heinz Steffens, who will perform together with members of the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra. Steffens was formerly a solo clarinettist with the Berliner Philharmoniker, and has always been passionate about playing chamber music. You can now hear him perform Mozart’’ s beautiful Clarinet Quintet together with four of the orchestra’s string players. He will also conduct the wind instruments in one of the composer’s most performed works, Serenade for winds and string bass, “Gran Partita”.
