"Phase" is made up of three duets and a solo, choreographed to the four compositions by the American composer, Steve Reich: Piano Phase, Come Out, Violin Phase and Clapping Music. The tones gradually shifts in rhythm and melody, and between the instruments. The choreography takes up the same principle. The clean, abstract movements exercised so perfectly that they almost seem to be mechanical. "Phase" is one of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's most performed work.
