China’s Liu Kun is named in the Guinness Book of World Records as the juggler who can keep more rings in the air than any other. In this performance he shows us his artistry accompanied by two drummers. The big, red Jiangzhou drums are an impressive sight and an equally impressive sound. During the Tang dynasty dating back some 1,400 years, they were used as instruments of war. The concert also features the Chinese guitar and the dizi – the Chinese bamboo flute. The music builds up the tension in this spectacular and elegant performance by Liu Kun.
