Kingwings vs. The Norwegian National Ballet at Den Norske Opera & Ballett

There will be headspins and pirouettes, acrobatics and en pointe when the popular Kingwings vs. Norwegian National Ballet makes a return appearance. In this performance, breakers from the renowned group Kingwings Crew meet and compete with some of the Norwegian National Ballet’s leading dancers. Under the direction of choreographer Patrick King, ballerinas and b-boys challenge one another and demonstrate the explosive power of both ballet and breakdance. As well as spectacular tricks and steps, there will be excerpts from classics such as Swan Lake and Don Quixote, plus audience favourites by choreographers Sol León and Paul Lightfoot. PS: When the show premiered in 2012 it became a talking point overnight, people of all ages flocked to the Opera House to see it and there were long queues at the box office – so early booking is advised!
