Ragnhild Hemsing has distinguished himself as one of our foremost young violinists. As 13-year-old she made her debut as a soloist with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, followed by appearances with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the Oslo Philharmonic, Minnesota Orchestra, Ukrainian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Denmark Radio Symphony Orchestra and the MDR Radio Symphony Orchestra Leipzig, to name a few.
Hemsing has performed at numerous venues and festivals. Her recording of Thoresen YR and recording of Johan Halvorsen Fossegrimen together with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra under Neeme Järvi, received both stellar reviews. As the only Norwegian musician ever she received in 2013 the attractive price Beethoven Ring in Germany for its outstanding Beethoven interpretations.
Beethoven's music takes she also brought to the Opera. Here she offers his Violin Sonata in G major, as well as the magnificent "Kreutzer Sonata" - in addition to Grieg's Violin Sonata in C minor.
With her pianist Tor Espen Aspaas, one of the most prolific pianists and music purveyors.
