Funiculi Funicula – an operatic fable at Den Norske Opera & Ballett

The operatic fable about Funiculi and Funicula is an enjoyable, informal production inspired by the English pantomime tradition: a captivating story told with lots of humour and physical activity, accompanied by simple set design and an on-stage band.

The production is the result of the «Opera on the timetable» project, in which fifth graders from Mortensrud, Sagene, Marienlyst and Bogstad schools in Oslo have an opera class with song and drama. Guided by professional actors, singers and musicians, they will explore the songs and emotions of the world of opera.
