Dynamic2 at Den Norske Opera & Ballett

Dynamic² is the result of the legendary choreographer Deborah Hay’s Solo Performance Commissioning Project, in which 20 dancers from around the world learn the same solo choreography, then spend nine months making it their own. Norway’s Janne-Camilla Lyster and Gry Bech-Hanssen took part in the project in autumn 2012. Dynamic² is a subtle, imaginative, humoristic and poetic solo that recalls the way a train of thought is transformed; something takes shape, or is in the process of taking shape, only to be interrupted by something else. The two solo adaptations are independent works in their own right, which together broaden the audience perception of the artistic universe.
