Cinderella – a Children’s Opera at Den Norske Opera & Ballett

After being performed by hundreds and seen by thousands of children and young people around Norway, Cinderella – a Children's Opera returns to Bjørvika and the Norwegian National Opera Children's Chorus. In this modern version of the fairytale, English composer Peter Maxwell Davies puts Cinderella as an au pair with the Widow Grumble and her three ugly daughters, Medusa, Hecate and Dragonia. When the sisters go to the Prince's ball and Cinderella is left at home, her only friends are the cat and her kittens, who help her dress and get to the ball.
