Bryn Terfel is the farmer’s son from Wales, who – after his opera debut as Guglielmo in Così fan tutte in 1990 – has experienced an explosive rise to his career and now has a diary of bookings to make most singers envious. He is a guest intensively sought after by the greatest opera houses and orchestras in the world, and has recorded a number of albums that have sold in millions of copies. Terfel has a broad repertoire, and has made a name for himself are singer of oratorios, interpreter of Welsh song treasures, and has achieved great success with “crossover”-albums with other artists. He has visited Norway on several occasions, and each time has charmed the audiences with his special manner. Something as powerful as this in the world of opera is very seldom heard!
