The last time Alexander Ekman visited the Oslo Opera House, he created a brand new swan lake that required 5,000 litres of water. Now the choreographer will use the entire performance space, including the auditorium, wings and backstage area, to take you on a journey of dance and experiences – from space to space through a unique world. This is a journey that is guaranteed to be full of surprises – and that is not to be missed!
Alexander Ekman is an internationally recognised name in the dance world, renowned and sought-after for his unique ability to combine ballet with humour and playfulness. After Ekman and composer Mikael Karlsson created A Swan Lake in 2014, the Aftenposten newspaper called the performance “wet, wild and wonderful”, and reported that it pushed the boundaries of what theatre can do. The Ekman team is now ready to push the boundaries of performance once again!
