Afternoon Concert: Another Russian Lady at Den Norske Opera & Ballett

In this series of chamber music concerts, the audience will experience the orchestra in a different format. The orchestra will perform in a smaller group, enabling the audience to get closer to the musicians. The afternoon concerts are the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra’s own concerts, where the musicians perform their personal musical favourites.

The season’s first afternoon concert is entirely dedicated to Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich. With his 15 string quartets he explored and developed his most personal works, which many believe represent the composer at his most honest and vulnerable.
