National Theatret Announces 'Theater Lounge: Midlife Crisis' Image

You are approaching 50, everyday life is raging and one of life's big questions has begun to gnaw: Am I really happy? The phenomenon and concept of midlife crisis has been debated. On the one hand, it has something pathetic and desperate about it, on the other hand, it can be experienced as an opportunity to take control of everyday life and squeeze the last juices out of life's many fruits.

What is the midlife crisis really about? Does it have a biological aspect? And if the midlife crisis is really a myth, then why is it living in the best of times?

The panel discussion is inspired by the performance Full Spread, based on Nina Lykke's novel of the same name.

You meet:

  • Nina Lykke, author
  • Sissel Gran, psychologist
  • Wasim Zahid, doctor
  • Dora Torhallsdottir, comedian, family therapist and journalist.
