Det Norske Teatret arranged its second "speed date" on January 25th, showcasing musical theatre composers that may not be to well known to the Norwegian public but deserves a closer inspection.
The concept is the brainchild of Renate Stridh, director of the recent regional BroadwayWorld Award winner, RAGTIME. Last year she arranged the first speed date with Pasek & Paul, and this time the choice befell the two "Wild Party-composers" Andrew Lippa and Michael John LaChiusa.
A varied selection of both composer's work was performed on stage by Charlotte Brænna, Benedicte Søreng, Tone Oline Knivsflå, Bjørnar Nilsen Øksenvåg and Rolf Mørck. Petter Sørlie Kragstad served as musical director and accompanist.
