Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Riverside Center for the Performing Arts for this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale, The Wizard of Oz. The show runs from Wednesday, May 22 through Sunday, July 14, 2024. With music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E. Y. Harburg, background music by Herbert Stothart, dance and vocal arrangements by Peter Howard, orchestration by Larry Wilcox, adapted by John Kane for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Based upon the Classic Motion Picture owned by Turner Entertainment Co. and distributed in all media by Warner Bros. Riverside Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce our stellar cast being led by Rebecca Carroll, as the beloved Dorothy. Rebecca recently appeared on our stage in 42nd Street as Peggy Sawyer. Starring alongside Rebecca are Larry Toyter as the Scarecrow, Ariel Messeca as the Tinman, and Jordan Stockdale as the Cowardly Lion. The cast features Kathy Halenda as the Wicked Witch of the West, Sheri Hayden as Glinda the Good Witch, Robert Biedermann as The Wizard of Oz/Professor Marvel, Andrea Kahane as Auntie Em, and Ian Lane as Uncle Henry (U/S Cowardly Lion). The ensemble includes Jordan Brown (U/S Wizard of Oz/ Uncle Henry), Leighton Carter (U/S Tinman), Michael Goltry (U/S Scarecrow), Chris Florio, Silas Iem, Colleen Kleveno, Aniyah Lee, Sally Roehl, Giancarlo Santiago, Ella Schnoor (U/S Dorothy), Abigail Weinel, and Stephanie Wood. Our cast is completed with the vibrant energy and boundless charm of the following talented young stars as the munchkins; Loni Arnold, Bella Browning, Colson Files, Milla Long, Catherine Mayers, Maya Misenheimer, Sophia Misenheimer, Lillian Rokoz, Ryan Rokoz, and Joey Vogel.
The creative team is led by Riverside Center for the Performing Arts’ CEO & Producing Artistic Director Patrick A’Hearn, with Music Director David Landrum, Choreographer Stephanie Wood, and Production Stage Manager Cody Medley. Set Design by Christian Fleming, Lighting Design by Mike Jarett, and the Production Electrician is Weston Corey. Sound Design by Cheyenne Tenda. Costume Coordinator is Erin Welsh, and Properties Master is Reilly Cooper.
