The Nields, a celebrated folk duo of sisters Nerissa and Katryna Nields, brings an evening of timeless melodies to The Barns. As regulars on the festival scene since 1991, the Nields have evolved from their folk-rock sound of years past to a more streamlined traditional folk presence on their 2007 album Sister Holler. The sisters partly attribute this shift in style to a desire for a greater musical connection with their young children. Their latest album, The Full Catastrophe, slated for release on April 10, 2012, continues that trend with songs about finding balance and fulfillment in family life.
