Six-time GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter John McCutcheon returns to The Barns for an evening of exceptional folk music. The prolific, multitalented musician has produced 31 albums throughout his extraordinary four-decade career, including the 1991 release Live at Wolf Trap. His 2010 album, Passage, is a tribute to the long-ago days he spent honing his craft with lessons from traditional folk artists of the Appalachian Mountains. There McCutcheon developed his signature storytelling style as well as his impressive instrumental skills on the piano, banjo, fiddle, guitar, jaw harp, hammered dulcimer, concertina, and autoharp. His upcoming album, This Land: Woody Guthrie's America, a tribute to folk legend Woodie Guthrie, will be released in fall 2012.
