Theatre Arlington is proud to present the compelling military courtroom drama, A Few Good Men by Aaron Sorkin. Before his 1992 movie received worldwide praise and recognition, Sorkin's play, which he wrote on cocktail napkins while bartending, opened at the Music Box Theatre in New York City in November 1989 and ran until January 1991. So strong was his dialogue and characters that the film rights were sold before his play even opened.

More remarkable was this was Sorkin's Broadway playwriting debut at the age of 28 and it earned him the John Gassner Award as Outstanding New American Playwright. Set in the summer of 1986, two Marines are on trial for complicity in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay as the result of an illicit disciplinary measure known only as a "Code Red." Their inexperienced yet cocky Navy lawyer expects a plea bargain and cover up, but eventually makes a courageous effort to defend his clients and puts the military mentality and the Marine code of honor on trial as well. Sorkin's play brilliantly handles 'the truth' and shines a light on the dark side (and the good) of people in power along with the ones who attempt to keep them within the lines of the law. No matter the year or decade, this truth never goes out of style.

Theatre Arlington's production of A Few Good Men is directed by Steven D. Morris and stage managed by Rebecca Rickey. Josh Batty stars as Lt. j.g. Daniel Kaffee, Jenna Anderson as Lt. Cmdr. Joanne Galloway, Robbie Clark at Lt. j.g. Sam Weinberg, Sean Massey as Lt. Jack Ross and Darius R. Booker as Lt. Col. Nathan Jessep. The cast also features Jake Harris (Lance Cpl. Dave Spradling), Tyler Moody (Tom/Dunn / Sgt. at Arms) and Kalumba David Tshibangu (Hammaker / Lyle / Orderly).

Production team members also include Kevin Brown (Set Designer), Kyle Harris (Lighting Designer), Bill Eickenloff (Sound Designer), Angie Glover (Scenic Artist), Robin Dotson (Properties Designer) and Janice Pennington (Costume Designer).
