A rockstar, a children's musician, an instructor, a radio personality, and a philanthropist, Schaefer is truly a portrait of versatility. Best known for his lead guitar role in the critically acclaimed folk-pop band Eddie From Ohio, Schaefer also finds ample time for solo efforts, with his 2004 debut, In the Flesh, and 2008's Strange and Lovely World. This past summer Schaefer traveled to Uganda for the OneVoice project, an effort to expand global communication through The Common language of music. A major advocate for arts-based learning tactics with a strong sense of purpose and the versatility to capture both child and adult listeners, Schaefer has positioned himself as a leader in communities both locally and worldwide. His involvement with Wolf Trap runs deep as a Barns, Filene Center, and Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods performer, as well as a songwriting instructor for adult fall classes.

Last here in 2006, Luka Bloom returns to the musical market where he got his start, playing small D.C. clubs before trying his luck in New York city. Bloom is currently touring in support of his 2010 release, Dreams in America. A true folk musician who made a conscious decision to create singular, solo-acoustic music centered around vocals in guitar from day one, Bloom often employs this style on covers of eccentric songs like LL Cool J's "I Need Love" and Abba's "Dancing Queen." Although simple in his approach to music, Bloom has the innate ability to diversify his sound between soft and hypnotic, edgy and dynamic, and surging and frenetic.

Spiedel, Goodrich, Goggin & Lille

Not at Wolf Trap since 2005, Speidel, Goodrich, Goggin & Lille return to satisfy their intensely loyal army of local fans with an evening of their signature guitar-backed harmonies. Maintaining a strong presence throughout the Northern Virginia area since their matriculation from UVA in the mid '80s, The Barns at Wolf Trap is somewhat of a home base venue for this free-spirited quartet. Their most recent album, On the Shoulder, was recorded at The Barns in 1999, capturing the band in an acoustically perfect setting tailor-made for their warm, energetic sound. Despite the decision to not pursue music on a full-time basis, all four members are wholly committed to the band's growth, as evidenced by the recent decision to add drums and keys to their live mix.
