GRAMMY-nominated, platinum-selling pop pianist Jim Brickman takes the stage for three consecutive evenings at The Barns at Wolf Trap as part of his Romanza Tour, promoting his 2011 album of the same name. The gifted musician and composer got his start writing commercial jingles and has since produced more than 30 albums over the past 18 years. His popular live shows showcase his moving, romantic piano sound and are must-see events in about 125 cities per year. Other artisitic accomplishments for this creative spirit include a weekly radio show, Your Weekend, and two best-selling books, Simple Things and Love Notes. Always one to lend a hand to those in need, Brickman also supports many charitable foundations for children, including Autism Speaks, UNICEF, and Camp Heartland. A scholarship was recently established in his name at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied before beginning his remarkable career.
Jeri Sager appears on Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25.
Broadway powerhouse and Northern Virginia native Jeri Sager returns to The Barns at Wolf Trap for a showcase of the tunes that made her the star she is today. Since her Broadway debut as Frumah-Sara in the 25th anniversary production of Fiddler on the Roof, Sager gained critical acclaim for her masterful portrayals of Fantine in Les Miserables, Eva Peron in Evita, and Grizabella in Cats. Her performance at Wolf Trap will include highlights from these defining roles, as well as some of her personal favorites. Sager has recorded several albums, including her upcoming release All - Broadway. The busy star also finds time to act in film and television roles and can be seen in the 2011 film Country Strong.
