The Alden's Summer Concert Series to Feature Group of Tribute Bands & More

The Alden and the McLean Community Center's (MCC) 2016 Summer Sunday Concerts in the Park feature a lineup of well-established tribute bands, playing a wide range of music-everything from the Beach Boys to Prince. The free concerts start at 5 p.m. and will be held each Sunday in July at McLean Central Park, 1468 Dolley Madison Blvd. Free parking is available at MCC (1234 Ingleside Ave.) or Dolley Madison Library (1244 Oak Ridge Ave).

These concerts are presented in cooperation with the Fairfax County Park Authority and Dranesville District Supervisor John Foust.

Desert Highway
Eagles Tribute Band
Sunday, July 3, 5 p.m.

Since its formation, Desert Highway has been captivating and entertaining major audiences. The group's critically acclaimed performances are a nonstop journey through numerous radio hits, Top 10 singles and favorite solo works of The Eagles. Musically and visually, Desert Highway presents a unique edge in performing The Eagles' varied music catalogue.

The English Channel
The British Invasion Tribute Band
Sunday, July 10, 5 p.m.

Formed in 2001, The English Channel authentically and meticulously recreates British rock and pop from the mid '60s to the mid '70s. Each song they play sounds "just like the record" and just like you remember it. The members of this band have a passion for this music and it shows with their energy and enthusiasm onstage.

The Reflex
1980s Tribute Band
Sunday, July 17, 5 p.m.

Step inside the DeLorean and get ready to go back in time...The Reflex delivers the ultimate musical tribute to the '80s! The band's goal is to recreate-some might even say mirror-the sound, vibe, and look of those '80s mega-bands and one-hit wonders you love.

Still Surfin' is a professional Beach Boys Tribute Band. The group has been performing the music of the Beach Boys for more than 14 years. The performances are as true to form as the original performers were on their live tours.
