The Alden Theatre Presents 'Songs of South America,' 10/23

The Alden Theatre invites you and your family to attend the first performance of this season's Professional Artist Series. Join Andes Manta as it brings the music of South America to the north. The performance will be preceded by a hands-on workshop with the band. For ages 6+. 

Andes Manta Workshop and Performance will take place Saturday, Oct. 23 at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.

Other upcoming workshops include:

Pan Pipe Workshop with Andes Manta; 5:30 p.m.
This hands-on learning experience is a start-to-finish lesson in creating one's own instrument. Each participant receives a kit containing pre-tuned South American bamboo pipes, cording and bamboo struts. $10 per person.

Andes Manta; 7:30 p.m.
Andes Manta performs the vibrant music of the Andes on more than 35 traditional instruments. From the lyrical sound of the quena to the haunting tones of the pan pipes, the music of Andes Manta never fails to bring audiences to their feet. $14/$10 district residents.
