THE BOATWRIGHT Sails into Firehouse Theatre Next Month

As part of the Richmond Acts of Faith Festival, Bo Wilson's THE BOATWRIGHT receives its regional premiere as part of Wilson's yearlong residency at Firehouse. Winner of the 2014 AACT NewPlayFest, THE BOATWRIGHT is about hiding out, running away, and breaking through. Two men, generations apart and lonely in very different ways, force each other to confront the isolation in their own lives by navigating as best they can by the light of the other's faith. As Wilson has said, the play expresses a common desire to "sail away to a quieter place."

The cast of THE BOATWRIGHT includes David Bridgewater* (Ben) and Tyler Stevens (Jaime). The production team includes Gary C. Hopper (Director), Rich Mason (Scenic Design), Michael Jarett (Lighting Design), Liz Hopper (Costume Design), Tennessee Dixon (Video Design), Daniel Burgess (Prop Master), Joey Luck (Sound Design), and Rachel Bowman (Stage Manager).
