Synetic Theater invites you to this magical wordless production of Sleeping Beauty that will enchant viewers of all ages. Directed by Paata Tsikurishvili and choreographed by Irinal Tsikurishvili.

Synetic's award-winning ensemble takes on the classic tale of a princess, an evil sorceress, and a centuries-long sleeping curse in this darkly elegant adaptation of one of the Grimm Brother's most beloved stories. Teen Company Alumni Eliza Smith (Briar Rose) and Zana Gankhuyag (the Prince) to star alongside Irina Tsikurishvili (the Witch)

This production is recommended for ages 7 & up for moments younger viewers may find frightening.

Sleeping Beauty opens December 7, and runs Wednesday through Saturday at 8;00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m., through January 8, 2017. Tickets start at $35. This production is wordless.

Paata Tsikurishvili is the Founding Artistic Director of Synetic Theater. A native of the Republic of Georgia, he is an innovative, award-winning international artistic director, director and educator with more than 20 years of experience fusing the classical elements of drama, movement, dance, mime, and music.

Irina Tsikurishvili is a 32-time Helen Hayes Award nominee for both choreography and acting and has won the Award for Outstanding Choreography eight times. She is a co-founder of Synetic Theater and has choreographed and starred in over two dozen productions. Her choreography was also featured in the 2013 film Swan Song.

]Founded in 2001 by the husband and wife team of Paata and Irina Tsikurishvili, Synetic Theater is a center for American Physical Theater, fusing dynamic art forms-such as text, drama, movement, acrobatics, dance, and original music. Synetic has received a total of 93 Helen Hayes Award nominations and 25 Awards for directing, choreography, acting, costume design, and best play.
