ShenanArts is glad to announce it will be hosting a session of The Virginia Junior Opry at its Stage4 Theatre, on Sunday, January 3, 2010. The show will begin at 3:00pm and proceeds will go to benefit ShenanArts' re-location fund. The Virginia Junior Opry was formed in the early nineties, by Staunton native, Bob Campbell, to provide a forum to showcase young talent throughout the state in a drug and alcohol free environment. The show is headquartered in Clifton Forge, VA. Bob is still the owner and president of the organization today. Bob will serve as the host for the event and will be assisted by Jeff McDaniel, a regular with ShenanArts, in producing what is promised to be an evening of top-notch entertainment.

Organizers of the event are currently looking for talent to perform. Singers, Musicians, Bluegrass & Gospel Groups, Clogging & Square Dance Groups, etc, are encouraged to participate. Participants should be under 21 years of age. The variety show will feature Country, Bluegrass, Gospel, Rockabilly, & Southern Rock Music. Other styles of music will be considered by audition.
Interested parties should contact Jeff McDaniel at 540-220-1449 (after 5:00pm) or email at jwmdmusic@gmail.com.
