ShenanArts Holds Auditions For THE OUTSIDERS, 8/28

ShenanArts will hold auditions from its upcoming production of THE OUTSIDERS on Saturday, August 28th from 10AM to 2PM. Location will be at ShenanArts at the nTelos Theatre at 300 Churchville Ave in Staunon. The show dates are currently scheduled for October 22th to 24th and 29th to 31st. The show is based on the novel by S.E. Hinton.

The list of characters are as followed:

Ponyboy - early teen, greaser
Johnny - early teen, Ponyboy's friend
Bob - mid to late teen, socalite
Randy - mid to late teen, socalite
Dallas - late teen to early 20's, greaser
Two Bit - late teen to early 20's, greaser
Darry - late teen to early 20's, Ponyboy's oldest brother
Sodapop - mid teen, Ponyboy's second oldest brother
Sandy - Sodapop's girlfriend
Cherry - socalite
Marcia - Cherry's friend
Mrs. O'Briant - adult, parent
Jerry - adult, parent
Doctor - adult, at the hospital
Nurse - adult, at the hospital
Mr. Syme - adult, an English teacher
Paul - late teen to early 20's, socalite
Four to Five children - ages 5-10

ShenanArts is an non-profit theatre that was organized in 1981. Their mission continues to be using theatre to build bridges within the community.
