The School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community (SPARC) and the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen (CACGA) announced today their partnership in offering high-quality arts education to the region's youth. As the CACGA's performing arts education partner, SPARC will provide 18 new classes for students age 3-13 in the disciplines of acting, singing and movement for theatre.

Both organizations share a long history of working together in the past and this partnership expands arts education opportunities for the community. SPARC also offers classes at four additional locations throughout the metropolitan area, including at its own facility on North Hamilton Street in Scott's Addition.

Ryan Ripperton, SPARC's executive director, commented, "We are enormously proud and excited to be able to launch this major partnership with our friends at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. Their space is ideal for our performing arts training classes and, their encouragement to use this facility to expand the range of classes we offer has inspired us greatly."

K Alferio, president of the CACGA, added, "we welcome the return of SPARC to The Center and are thrilled with this partnership and the opportunity to include performing arts classes in our educational program."

Families interested in enrolling their students in SPARC's classes at the CACGA may register with SPARC at www.sparconline.org or with the CACGA at www.artsglenallen.com.
