Photo Flash: BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON Celebrates Opening Night at Generic Theater

The rock musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, which was seen on Broadway in 2010, received its Hampton Roads regional debut last night, August 23 at The Generic Theater in Norfolk, VA. Check out photos from the opening night festivities below!

General producer Jeannette Rainey, executive director Philip Odango and artistic directors Matthew Friedman and Jennifer Murphy present the Norfolk run, currently scheduled through September 15.

Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is directed by BrenDan Hoyle, with musical direction by Cathy Francis and choreography by Cami Walton. The creative team includes Shane Stelly (scenic design), Ryan Ward (costume design), B Butterbaugh (light design), Heather Shannon (properties design), and Charles Owrey (sound design). The management team includes Jillian Sweetland (assistant director), Stephanie Corbin (asst. stage manager), Dawn Wilfong (asst. stage manager), and Kelly Gilliam (stage manager).

John Mark Bowman (Andrew Jackson) leads an ensemble cast including Anthony Barker, Mary Curnen, Jimmy Dragas, Jacob George, Todd Harris, Jr., DeEtta Jennings, Garney Johnson, Matt Johnson, Diana Kloiber, Bridget Sievers, Amy St. George, Kathryn Starnes and Sarah Storminger.
