The Alden's 2012-2013 McLean Kids Performance Series will begin with a performance by Hobey Ford's Golden Rod Puppets. The show, "Migration," will be performed at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. Admission is $15 or $10 for McLean Community Center district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue in the McLean Community Center.

Hobey Ford and the Golden Rod Puppets return to the natural world of animals in this sequel to his original production, "Animalia." Come along as Hobey explores the wonders, trials and sometimes unspeakable beauty of animals that move across the planet in search of food, shelter and often a better way of life. "Migration" is the original story of a young Mexican girl, Beatriz (whose name means "traveler"), as she witnesses wild animals and insects who migrate-Monarch butterflies, polar bears and the giant sperm whale- even as her own human family is experiencing a migration journey. The show is most appropriate for 2nd through 5th graders and their families.
