Twelve local high school students received scholarships for successfully competing in the 2012 James C. Macdonald Fine Arts Scholarship Competition, sponsored by the McLean Community Center (MCC) and the Alden Theatre, located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

MCC Governing Board Chair Kevin Dent and Performing Arts Director Sarah Schallern presented the awards at the final competition-performance, which was held on Thursday, May 24, in the Alden Theatre.
