Barter Theatre will hold local auditions for Equity actors and non-Equity adult actors for the upcoming 2010 season on Sunday, December 6 and Monday, December 7 at Barter Stage II.

Barter is seeking Equity and Non-Equity actors ages 18 and above for roles in single productions, single repertories, The Barter Player Company, The Resident Acting Company, as well as understudies. Barter Theatre encourages and supports non-traditional and minority casting and highly encourages all actors to audition. If actors are not available for the 2010 season, it is preferred they wait until our December 2010 auditions to be seen.

We will not be looking for any actors (male or female) under the age of 18 at these auditions unless you are a member of Actors' Equity Association. We will be auditioning AEA girls for the roles of ANNIE, YOUNG VI, etc. at this audition. If you are not a female Actor's Equity Association member and you are under 18 you will be auditioned at a different time.

AEA Actors will be given priority in scheduling requests for audition slots, and any AEA member who arrives for an audition without having signed up will be seen as soon as possible.

The acting and singing auditions will take place at Barter Stage II which is across the street from the Barter Theatre on Main Street in Abingdon, Va. (exit 17 on Interstate 81).
The movement and dance auditions will take place at The Barter Education Building (directions will be made available at Barter Stage II on the day of the auditions).
