Wolf Trap Adds nine new shows to its 2013 Summer Season Including Debut Performances by Robert Plant, ZZ Top, Ke$ha, and Returning Legends Diana Ross and Harry Connick, Jr.
All Shows at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing ArtsWolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts announces nine new performances added to its 2013 summer season at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, including debuts by iconic Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant and his band the Sensational Space Shifters on July 22, a joint bill with modern rockers OneRepublic, Mayer Hawthorne, andChurchill on August 5, edgy pop superstar Ke$ha on August 12, trend-setting instrumental rock band STS9 alongsideUmphrey's McGee on September 1, and the legendary blues-rock trio ZZ Top on September 11.
Ticket presales for these newly announced performances are currently underway for Wolf Trap members and donors and available at www.wolftrap.org/membership. Tickets for new shows go on sale to the public at www.wolftrap.org on Saturday, May 4 at 10 am.
These new shows are added to more than 70 performances already on sale. Wolf Trap's 42nd season is ambitious, fresh, and diverse, with three new opera productions, including the Wolf Trap Opera Company's first self-produced La traviata at the Filene Center since 1977; 34 artist and performance debuts including five debut NSO@Wolf Trap programs; pop phenoms Carly Rae Jepson, Ke$ha, and Josh Groban, and indie darlings She & Him, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, and Cat Power.
