Firehouse Theatre Project's  CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF  Closes Tonight, 10/8

The production is directed by RusTy Wilson, and features Laine Satterfield, Adrian Rieder, Larry Cook, and Alan Sader all four of whom have recently been nominated for 2010-11 Richmond Theatre Critics' Circle awards.

In Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, a powerful Southern family gathers at a birthday celebration for patriarch Big Daddy, who does not know that he is dying of cancer. In a scramble to secure their part of his estate, family members hide the truth about his diagnosis from him and Big Mama. Front and center as tensions mount are alcoholic former football hero Brick and his beautiful but sexually frustrated wife Maggie "the Cat"; as their troubled relationship comes to a stormy and steamy climax, a shockwave of secrets are finally revealed. Brimming with the playwright's trademark emotional intensity and insightful wit, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof is an American treasure.

Tickets are $26 for adults, $23 for seniors (65+), $12 for students and RAPT members, and $20 for groups of 10 or more. They are available by calling the box office, 804-355-2001, or online at www.firehousetheatre.org .
