Firehouse has announced that its current production of Jordan Harrison's MAPLE AND VINE -- a new play about old times -- that was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, May 8 will be extended for an additional five performances through Saturday, May 21, 2016. See below for the added performance schedule.
MAPLE AND VINE focuses on yuppie power couple Katha and Ryu. She's an editor at Random House and her Asian American husband is a successful plastic surgeon, but Katha can't get a good night's sleep. When they're invited by a mysterious stranger to join the SDO (Society for Dynamic Obsolescence) they decide to give it all up to pursue more traditional values in the gated community of 1950s reenactors. The play examines the compelling pull of nostalgia and questions our yearning for the "good old days."
