The McLean Kids Performance Series continues at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, with a performance of "No Show" starring mime artist Doug Berky, whose work reflects the styles of the commedia dell'arte and vaudeville, and the influences of such comic greats as Charlie Chaplin and Carol Burnette. Tickets are $15, $10 for McLean tax district residents. The Alden is located at 1234 Ingleside, inside the McLean Community Center.

A performance has been scheduled, but the actor fails to show up. Or does he? What will happen when a lone spectator finds himself unwittingly on stage? Berky is transformed into several characters as he explores the props and masks on stage-everything from a gorilla to a ballerina. Audience members will experience a variety of theatre forms: mime, mask theater, circus arts and storytelling in this hilarious performance that is suitable for the whole family.

Tickets are on sale now. Discounts are available to seniors, students and groups of eight or more. For more information or to purchase tickets online, visit:www.aldentheatre.org or call 703-790-0123, TTY: 711.
