Get ready to fall in love with Eliza Doolittle all over again at Barter Theatre. "My Fair Lady" is now playing on Barter's Main Stage. Based on George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion," it is hailed as "the perfect musical" and one of the greatest musicals of all time.
"My Fair Lady" is the timeless story of Professor Henry Higgins, the arrogant, middle-aged bachelor and phonetician and Eliza Doolittle, the Cockney flower girl, who becomes part of his experiment in order to transform herself into a "lady."
Starring Rick McVey (Javert, "LES MISERABLES") as Henry Higgins, and Holly Williams (Jane, "Tarzan") as Eliza Doolittle, the show has a total of 15 professional actors/dancers (both fresh and familiar faces) to bring the story to life.
The score features Broadway hits including: "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Get Me to the Church on Time," "Wouldn't it Be Loverly," "The Rain in Spain" and "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face."
"My Fair Lady" is directed by John R. Briggs ("Kiss Me, Kate") and choreographed by Amanda Aldridge ("The Wizard of Oz"); music director is Lee Harris ("The Wizard of Oz").
