BUTCHERTOWN BURLESQUE to Return to TheatreLAB's The Basement

TheatreLAB, Richmond's home for unexpected and evocative performance, is thrilled to welcome popular burlesque performer Deanna Danger back to The Basement on September 23rd for "Butchertown Burlesque," to take place at TheatreLAB's venue, The Basement.

This month's installment of "Butchertown Burlesque" will feature Siobhan Atomica (from Lexington, KY), Lady Borgia (from Charlottesville), and Deanna Danger herself, backed by The Butchertown Cats Orchestra.

Step back in time, begin the beguine, at Richmond, Virginia's newest nightlife experience, "Butchertown Burlesque" at The Basement! Brought to you by "Professional Purveyor of Good Times," Deanna Danger and featuring the live jazz music stylings of The Butchertown Cats Orchestra, you'll find "Butchertown Burlesque" at The Basement throughout 2016 and 2017.

In the olden days of lamp lit alleyways, dirt dusty streets and speakeasys in the gritty city of Richmond, Virginia, existed the "Butchertown Cats." A gang that ruled the "Butchertown" district, an area of Church Hill oft avoided unless one was brave enough to visit the back alley brothels, or pay a visit to one of the many butchers with swinging meat, lining the streets...

Don your speakeasy finest and strap on your dancing shoes because dancing and revelry are highly recommended at this intimate, vintage classic nightlife experience harkening back to the days of flappers and bootleggers!

There will be a full bar, as well as drink specials. Doors open at 8pm and the show will begin at 9pm. 1920's or cocktail attire is preferred and advance reservations are highly recommended, as all previous shows have sold out. Seating is limited; advanced tickets are available for $15, tickets purchased at the door will be $20. A limited number of VIP tickets will be available for pre-sale at $25. VIP ticket packages come with prime seating, drink special discounts, a signed show poster, raffle tickets, and a gift bag of other treats.
