The Firehouse Theatre will hold auditions for its new core Improvisation Company at the theatre, 1609 W. Broad St., on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m.

This company will perform shows scripted from original material and improvised rehearsal, similar to The Annoyance in Chicago. Strong improvisational skills are a must. Singing is a plus, but not required. Please bring a headshot and resume. Those auditioning will be asked to improvise in groups with given scenarios. If singing, bring sheet music in correct key. An accompanist will be provided. The core group will meet once a week beginning in February 2010, with a projected first show opening in September 2010. This is obviously a long-term commitment. Schedule will include midnight shows. Actors will be paid for performances only.
