Alden Theatre’s Summer Sunday Concert Lineup Announced

The Alden Theatre's much-anticipated Summer Sunday Concerts in the Park will take audience members around the world with Summer 2012's multicultural music concerts. The series of five, free concerts will begin on Sunday, July 1, at 5 p.m., in the gazebo at McLean Central Park. The park is located at 1468 Dolley Madison Blvd. Free parking is available at Dolley Madison Library, 1244 Oak Ridge Avenue and the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

Washington Balalaika Society Chamber Orchestra
Russian Music
Come listen to "America's Finest Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments – Since 1988." The Washington Balalaika Society Chamber Orchestra is the largest of its kind in America.

Aloha Boys
Hawaiian Music
The Aloha Boys are bringing Hawaii to us! Join them in their acoustic down-home, backyard-style Hawaiian music. They play everything from traditional to contemporary. With this laid back crew you are sure to love the music that brings plenty of Aloha!

Alexandria Kleztet
Klezmer Music

Exciting and innovative, the Alexandria Kleztet has been combining traditional Eastern European/Jewish music with diverse influences for more than a decade. Winner of 15 Washington Area Music Awards (WAMMIES) they perform new arrangements of traditional melodies and original songs by members of the band. They truly bring a unique and entertaining sound.

Alte Kameraden
German Music
Since 1977, the "Old Comrades" have introduced American audiences to the lush, spirited festmusik played by Bavarian bands. This German band presents the best in classical transcriptions, wind band music, military and marches, show tunes and that's just the beginning.
