“BREAKDOWN” SEEKING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
MABLE (Contralto/Mezzo Soprano) – Age 50, African American female. Feisty, yet loving at times, but rough around the edges. The neighborhood mother, speaks her mind, commands respect.
CHARLES (Tenor) – Age 50, African American male, calm, the peacemaker, kind, hard-working, witty, humble and very loving.
LILES (Baritone/Tenor) – Age 35, African American male, professional, well mannered, very convincing, an attorney.
SIMONE (Contralto/Mezzo Soprano) – Age 35, African American, snooty and stylish at first and not well mannered. Later grows into a helpful loving and kind person.
FRED (Tenor) – Age 70, African American male, speaks his mind, active, and assertive, father of Mable.
EMMA (Contralto/Mezzo Soprano) – Age 30, African American female, mother of two children, loving personality, innocent, helpful, outgoing.
MAYOR DUNCAN – Age 50, doesn’t come across as trustworthy, a politician.
2 FEMALE ELDERS – In their 70s. Witty and joyful.
ENSEMBLE – Multi ethnic community.
