WORLDS OF FUN WINTERFEST - Worlds of Fun

Worlds of Fun (Kansas City, MO) is seeking Singers who Move Well, Singer/Dancers, Dancers, and Costume Characters for Winterfest with casting services provided by RWS Entertainment Group.

SEEKING: Non-Equity performers, over the age of 18, with dynamic personalities, who are able to entertain by connecting with an audience. Theme Park, Cruise Ship, and Children’s Theatre credits are a plus.

Winterfest 2018 will feature two holiday-themed live shows. Performances will run November 23-25, November 30-2, 7-9, 14-23, 26-31, 2018.

COOL YULE CHRISTMAS: Male and Female Vocalists with a strong pop/contemporary sound and presence. Belters and tenors/baritenors who move extremely well. Rehearses November 9-21.

CHARLIE BROWN'S CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR: Singer/Dancers, Dancers, and Costume Characters for a Christmas celebration with all the beloved Peanuts characters. Rehearses November 9-21.
SINGER/DANCERS: Females and Males with a strong pop/contemporary sound and presence. Will be featured as singers and will dance with the dancers.
DANCERS: Females and Males with strong musical theatre technique. Partnering experience / tumbling are a plus.
COSTUME CHARACTER PERFORMERS (4’ 10” - 5’ 2”): Outgoing, energetic Female & Male performers with strong movement ability and basic improv skills.

Open Calls for Singers, Dancers, and Costume Character Performers (Non-Union) will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 19677 E Jackson Drive, Independence, MO, 64057.

SINGERS AND SINGER/DANCERS: 9:30am sign-in (10am start) or 5:30pm sign-in (6pm start)
DANCERS: 8pm sign-in (8:30pm start)
COSTUME CHARACTER PERFORMERS: Please come to the Singers call for a Movement Combination at either 10:30am (for an 11am start) or 6:30pm (for a 7pm start)

WHAT TO PREPARE:
SINGERS AND SINGER/DANCERS: Please prepare two contrasting 16-bar pop/rock or musical theatre selections showing range and personality. Bring sheet music in correct key; accompanist will be provided. Bring headshot and resume stapled together. You may be called back to move later the same day; bring dance clothes/shoes.

DANCERS: A brief dance combination will be taught. Bring form-fitting dance attire (women bring heels and flats), headshot and resume stapled together.

COSTUME CHARACTER PERFORMERS: A brief movement combination will be taught. Bring dance clothes/shoes. Callbacks may be held following the movement combination. Bring headshot and resume stapled together.

PAY RATE: $550/week minimum. Lodging provided. Shared cast rental cars also provided on site.
