Auditions will be held by appointment on 3/22/16 and 3/24/16. Callbacks will be on 3/26/16.

Synopsis: "We Were Children" centers around Kaleb, a sixteen-year old boy with selective-mutism, whose concept of “self” is spiraling out of control. Painfully shy, and unable to fully articulate all of his emotions verbally, his thoughts are expressed through art, music, dance, and poetry. Kaleb soon finds his alter ego in Blake, However, a mutual relationship soon becomes parasitic, as Blake feeds off of Kaleb’s insecurity and inability to speak for himself.
SEEKING:
[ KALEB ] -- (16) Painfully shy, but a lot of pain brimming at the surface. Nerd. Delicate. Easily abused. Lacking in bodily strength. In love with Grey. Worships Blake. Must be comfortable wearing only underwear on stage.
[ BLAKE ] -- (16) Manipulative and charismatic with manic tendencies. Incredibly influential presence in Kaleb’s life. Goth/punk. Mercurial and dark. "Mercutio" type.
[ BROCK ] -- (16) Typical macho football bro. Good-looking in a 90s high school heartthrob kind of way. Kaleb’s bully. Must be comfortable with sexually assaulting Grey on stage. This will all be highly choreographed.
[ CECELIA ] -- (40s) Sweet. Emotional. Meek. Mother to Kaleb. A housewife.
[ DAVE ] -- (40s) Beer-guzzling, gun-toting, loudmouthed, stalwart man’s man. Loves his son, but is disappointed by Kaleb's oversensitivity.
[ GREY ] -- (16) Soft-spoken, fragile, and childlike. An unremarkable presence. Kaleb’s friend and secret crush. Ballet/modern dance experience is a plus. Must be comfortable with being stripped down to her underwear and being assaulted on stage. This will all be highly choreographed.
[ HILARY ] -- (16) Artificial and painfully insecure. Manipulative and sharp-tongued. Verbally abusive to Kaleb. Desperate for attention.
[ SISTER TRUE ] -- (30s-40s) A Catholic nun. Kaleb’s teacher. Shrewish and shrill.
[ TYLER ] -- (16) Unintelligent football player. Brock’s lackey.
SALARY: Potential to win $500 for best actor
