WAIT UNTIL DARK casting at The Queensbury Theatre September 12, 13, 14, 2015
By Frederick Knott, revised version by Jeffrey Hatcher. Directed by Rich Mills.
(Originally the play was set in the mid-sixties. The new adaptation is set in 1944.)
Susan: Mid 20’s to mid 30’s. She is blind. Slight of build. Vulnerable on the surface with a very strong core. Needs to be athletic for fight scene.
Sam: Susan’s husband. A veteran recovering from PTSD; damaged, but coping. He is a photographer by trade. Late 20’s to early 30’s
Carlino: Former police sergeant and con man, just out of prison. Gruff; no nonsense. Probably 40’s
Roat: Criminally insane, but clever. He assumes three different characters during the course of the play. 30’s, small, athletic build. Fight scene.
Mike: Con man. Suave, smooth and handsome. Late 20’s to early 30’s.
Gloria: Troubled teen (or tween). Unhappy, sarcastic, perhaps a bit overweight.
