TWO SUMMER THEATRE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PERFORMERS

Auditions for 2 Upcoming Productions: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat & Children’s Letters to God

Thursday, May 19 from 7-9 p.m. - Windham Middle School (123 Quarry St., Willimantic)

Sunday, May 22 from 1-3 p.m. - Burton Leavitt Theatre (779 Main St,, Willimantic)

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

All participants must prepare a 90 second musical number. Bring sheet music. Piano accompaniment will be provided.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Children’s Choir

Director: Victor Funderburk

Musical Director: Ken Clark

Show Dates: July 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31 and August 4, 5, 6

Age Range: 9-12 year olds

All Children cast in the show MUST attend a 3 day workshop from

9 a.m.-3 p.m. on June 27, 28, 29.

Children’s Letters to God

Director: Pam Pellegrine

Musical Director: Anne Halloran Tortora

Show dates: September 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25

Age Range: 9-14 year olds.

Must be available for rehearsals in July, August and September. Production details and character descriptions are available on the WTG web site.

AUDITIONS FOR JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOLOR

Monday & Wednesday, May 23 & 25 at 7:00 PM

Windham Middle School, Quarry Street, Willimantic

Director: Victor Funderburk Music Director: Ken Clark

NEEDED: 30 Performers age 16 and up to fill these roles

Joseph (tenor)

Jacob (baritone)

Pharaoh (barit-tenor)

Potiphar (bari-tenor)

Narrator (mezzo soprano with a belt)

Butler

Baker

Mrs. Potiphar

Female Ensemble

Joseph’s Brothers: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Naphtali, Issachar, Asher, Dan, Zebulon, Gad, Benjamin & Judah

Auditions will include vocal, movement and acting. Dress comfortably for the acting and movement activities.

Please prepare a musical number, NO MORE THAN 90 SECONDSin length, for the vocal audition. Bring sheet music. Piano accompaniment will be provided.

Production Dates: July 22, 23, 24 29, 30, 31, August 4, 5 & 6, 2016
