Cone Man Running will be holding auditions for the regional premiere of WHERE'S JULIE? by Daniel Guyton, directed by Cheramie Hopper. The show will run from April 13 - 29, 2017 at Obsidian Theatre, 3522 White Oak.
Auditions will be held by appointment on Sunday, January 22 from 10 am - 1 pm. It will consist of cold readings from the script. Please email info@conemanrunning.comfor an audition time.
WHERE'S JULIE?
15-year old Julie runs away from home to escape her abusive father, her delusional mother, and her autistic younger brother, only to find herself knocked up by her drug dealing boyfriend, harassed by her selfish older sister, and shunned by her Born-Again Christian friend. But, when she contemplates abortion, that's when the play gets really funny. Mature audiences only.
Cast of Characters
Mom – Mid-40’s, loving to a fault, a bit melodramatic
Dad – Late-40’s, early 50’s, alcoholic, easily confused
Jeff – 12, a bit “slow”, a video game addict
Julie – 15, trying to find herself
Allison – 22, also trying to find herself
Hector – 22, a pot-head, thief, and leading man
Margaret – 16, a Born-Again Christian
Running Crew 1 & 2 – Laurel & Hardy-esque
Please note we are looking for adult actors to play the teenaged roles.
