Viking Cruises and Mertz Productions are seeking an ensemble of 8 dynamic performers for the various entertainment offerings for Viking Cruises’ newest venture, Viking Ocean Cruises, to be launched in Spring 2015. More information can be found at VikingCruisesAuditions.com.

o Please note: Those Singers asked to stay will be taught a dance combination. Bring clothing to change into. These will take place from 1p- 2:30p

Talent Requirements:

Strong singer/actors who move very well and dancer/actors who sing well for three new main stage shows, cabarets, and other entertainment moments. The three main stage shows consist of a revue concept, and two completely original book shows. Performers will also be cast in a variety of cabaret shows onboard.

Selected singers will be able to flow seamlessly between standard Musical Theatre fare, and Pop/Rock, and have a developed legit sound.

Dancers should have knowledge of jazz, lyrical, and ballroom with strong technical skills.

Talent Preparation:
Singers are to come prepared with your best 32 bars each of 2 contrasting pieces - one ballad, one up-tempo: One should be from the contemporary Musical Theatre (i.e. Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, American Idiot, etc.) OR Pop/Rock canons. The other number should show your legit sound - opera, light opera, art song. Sheet music is required in the proper key. Accompanist will be provided. Selected singers will be taught a dance combination.
Dancers are to come prepared to learn a dance combination. You should also have prepared 32 bars each of 2 contrasting pieces from the Musical Theatre, and Pop/Rock canons. If you have a legit sound, show it. Sheet music is required in the proper key. Accompanist will be provided.
Additional singing, movement, and cold readings will take place at the callbacks.
