There will be two auditions for Urinetown, Monday, March 11th and Thursday, March 14th. Auditions will take place between 6 - 9pm. Those auditioning can sign-up for a slot at milburnstone.com/auditions after completing the form or can arrive and sign-up during the first hour of auditions.

Callbacks for Urinetown will be held on Monday, March 18th from 6pm to 10pm, Callback notifications will be sent out by Friday, March 15th at 5pm. The first section of the callback process will be a dance section from 6 – 6:30/6:45pm, followed by music and readings.

An accompanist will be provided so please bring sheet music for the accompanist to play. Performing with an accompanist is strongly preferred, but you may provide tracks if you do not have sheet music.
Please note: Amplification will not be provided and playing backing tracks off a cell phone (without proper additional amplification) is strongly discouraged.
Rehearsal for Urinetown will begin in early April with a read through and cast orientation for Urinetown *tentatively* scheduled for Wednesday, April 3rd at 6:30pm (this date will be finalized once a conflict calendar is complete.) All other scheduled rehearsals will be based on both performer and production staff availability, so please submit all known conflicts at the time of auditions. The Milburn Stone Theatre traditionally rehearses 2-3 times a week. Tech week for Urinetown will be held Sunday, June 9th through Thursday, June 13th, no conflicts will be accepted for these tech dates.
Please note: Cecil College will be closed from 5pm on May 24th through 8am on May 28th in observation of Memorial Day Weekend.
Performances for Urinetown will begin on Friday, June 14th with performances on June 15th, 16th, 21st, 22nd & 23rd. Friday and Saturday night performances take place at 8pm and Sunday matinees take place at 2pm.
There is a possibility of an added matinee on Saturday, June 15th or Saturday, June 22nd at 2pm. Cast and crew will be notified in May if these performances will not be held.

Officer Lockstock
A corrupt policeman and the tongue-in-cheek narrator of our story. Bold and brash. An authoritative voice, with rich low notes but a firm G4

Penelope Pennywise
The tough, jaded warden of the poorest, filthiest town urinal. Need to be clear and potentially shrill up to a G5.

Bobby Strong
The rebellious everyman who works for Miss Pennywise at the poorest, filthiest town urinal. He becomes an unsuspecting protagonist and romantic hero when he starts a revolution. A clear high tenor; a nimble falsetto is a plus

Little Sally
A precocious and irreverent street urchin. She serves as a quasi-narrator who often questions Lockstock and the play's logic. Has a child's voice - because she is a child (who is clearly portrayed by an adult)

An innocent, romantic optimist who becomes vengeful and determined after being exposed to her father's evil. Soprano. Needs a lovely Eb5

The president and owner of the Urine Good Company. A tyrant who both gleefully exploits the poor and genuinely believes he is helping the city. Baritone, needs crisp diction.

Officer Barrel
Lockstock's patrol partner. A thuggish and aggressive policeman.

Joseph Old Man Strong/Harry Hot Blades
Joseph: Bobby's rebellious father. His refusal to follow abusive laws ultimately launches the revolution.
