The RTB Lounge Super Nifty Holiday Bash

The RTB Lounge Super Nifty Holiday Bash is a campy two-act musical revue featuring traditional and non-traditional songs that cast a side-eye on the holidays.

Auditions will take place on

Wednesday September 15 & Thursday, September 16 from 7PM to 10PM.

If necessary, callbacks will be held Sunday, September 19.

Rehearsals will begin the last week of September.

The Performance schedule is as follows:
Saturday 11/27 8pm opening night
Sunday 11/28 2pm
Friday 12/3 8pm
Saturday 12/4 8pm
Sunday 12/5 2pm
Friday 12/10 8pm
Saturday 12/11 8pm
Sunday 12/12 2pm
Friday 12/17 8pm
Saturday 12/18 8pm closing night

*Please note that there will be rehearsals (tech week) the week of Thanksgiving and performances on Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving Day (and possibly the Wednesday before Thanksgiving) will be OFF.

Cast breakdown is as follows:

Doris Campbell – Woman (30-40) Alto. E3-C#5. The cheerful, gracious host of the night’s Christmas Eve dinner party who enjoys Christmas and all its trappings. She is the wife to …

Don Campbell – Man (30-40) Baritone. C3-E4. Friendly, but thoroughly annoyed by Christmas and all its trappings. The party was not his idea.

Gloria Gooseby – Woman (40-50) Mezzo-Soprano with a belt. G3-E5. The Grande Dame of Broadway. Recently divorced and still smarting. Brash and flirtatious, Doris is convinced she has eyes for Don. Diva singing role requiring an ability to blend in with the ensemble.

Edna Flatly – Woman (20’s) Mezzo-Soprano. G3-E5. Ms. Gooseby’s efficient secretary and confidante, happy to be in the shadows. A long series of bad dating decisions has left her wary and defensive, and yet … Dancing is required.

Charles Whitmer – Man (40-50) Baritone. C3-E4. Dashing, charming, and generally slightly inebriated. He and Gloria have a professional and personal history.

Stephen Stevens – Man (20’s) Tenor. C3-E4. Charles’ nephew visiting from Kansas City, Missouri. Well-mannered, impulsive, and a hopeless romantic. Dancing is required.

Head Caterer – Any gender (over 30) Ensemble singing may be required. Proper, professional, reliable, fastidious attention to the pecking order. A non-speaking role that relies heavily on physical comedy. Some dancing is required. Oversees …

Assistant Caterer – Any gender (over 25) Ensemble singing may be required. Nonchalant, easily distracted, doesn’t understand “pecking order.” A non-speaking role that relies heavily on physical comedy. Some dancing is required.
