WOMEN IN JEOPARDY!

Thelma and Louise meet The First Wives Club in this fun and flirtatious comedy. Divorcees Mary and Jo are suspicious of their friend Liz’s new dentist boyfriend. He’s not just a weirdo; he may be a serial killer! After all, his hygienist just disappeared. Trading their wine glasses for spy glasses, imaginations run wild as the ladies try to discover the truth and save their friend in a hilarious off-road adventure.

Auditions are held at Theatre Suburbia (5201 Mitchelldale St, Suite A3, Houston, TX 77092).
Sign in starts one hour prior to start.
THE SHOW RUNS
Fridays and Saturdays, NOVEMBER 3 - DECEMBER 2, 2023
Sunday matinees, November 19th & 26th only
Auditions are open to the public and consist of cold readings from the script. Please bring your resume and headshot if you have them. If not, we have audition forms and a camera. Those cast are required to become a member of the theatre.
Everyone who auditions will receive a complimentary ticket for two to the current production. Additionally, those cast will receive a complimentary ticket for two to their show.
Read through generally occurs the Tuesday or Wednesday following auditions. Full rehearsals normally start the following Monday and run through the opening of the show.
Rehearsals are usually Monday through Thursday evenings, as well as on Fridays once the previous show closes. Additionally, there may be pick up rehearsals on the two Thursdays following opening.

Character Breakdown
Mary ( F | 40s )
A motherly divorced librarian who is still pretty.
Jo ( F | 40s )
Mary's sardonic best friend. She is a publicist who also divorced.
Liz ( F | 40s )
Mary's other best friend - divorced as well. She is a Director of Admissions and a boy-crazy drama queen.
Amanda ( F | 19 )
Liz's daughter. She is an exceptionally pretty college student with an exceptionally low SAT score.
Trenner ( M | 19 )
A sweet (but not so bright) snowboarder who is anxious to be seen as manly.
Jackson ( M | 40s )
Liz's creepy new boyfriend dentist who makes strange pronouncements about death and diesease. (Jackson and Sgt Kirk are portrayed by the same actor.)
Sgt. Kirk Sponsullar ( M | 40s )
A courtly John Wayne type police sergeant who is a man of few (or entirely obfuscated) words. (Jackson and Sgt Kirk are portrayed by the same actor.)
